Who we are

ForeverTrip (“we”, “us”) makes a travel-planning app for iPhone. This policy explains what information the app collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email hello@forevertrip.app.

Information we collect

• Trip content you create — destinations, dates, itineraries, places, notes, expenses, packing lists and documents. This is stored on your device by default.
• Account & identifiers — when the app uses cloud features it signs in with an anonymous identifier (and, if you choose, Sign in with Apple). We don’t require your name to use the app.
• Photos — if you grant photo access, the app matches photos to your trip on your device. Photos are only uploaded when you deliberately share a journey.
• Booking emails you forward — if you use smart import, the content of the booking confirmation you forward (or paste) is processed to extract your reservation details. We keep the raw message to improve accuracy and to let you re-run a failed import.
• Purchases — subscription status is managed through our payments provider; we receive whether an entitlement is active, not your card details.
• Diagnostics — basic, aggregated crash and usage information to keep the app working. This isn’t used to identify you.

How we use your information

• To build and improve your itineraries and other trip features.
• To verify places against real maps and compute routes and travel times.
• To sync and share trips or journeys when you ask us to.
• To extract reservations from bookings you import.
• To operate subscriptions and keep the app reliable and secure.

AI processing

When you use the AI planner or smart import, the relevant text — your trip request, or the booking email you forwarded — is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate a plan or extract booking details, and returned to the app. We don’t send your photos or your full trip history for this, and this content is not used to advertise to you.

Service providers we share with

We use a small set of trusted providers to run the app. They process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

• Apple — Maps & weather (MapKit / WeatherKit) and app distribution.
• Google Firebase / Google Cloud — anonymous auth, cloud sync, storage for shared journeys, and our backend.
• OpenAI — AI itinerary generation and booking extraction (see above).
• RevenueCat — subscription management.
• Our email provider — to receive bookings you forward to us.

We do not sell your personal data, and we don’t share it for advertising.

Storage, retention & deletion

Trip content stays on your device unless you use a cloud feature. Data you sync or share is stored on Google Cloud until you delete it or delete your content in the app. Forwarded-booking messages are retained to support and improve import accuracy; you can ask us to delete them. To remove everything, delete your trips in the app and/or email us and we’ll delete cloud data we hold about you.

Your choices

• Grant or revoke photo access anytime in iOS Settings.
• Use the app fully offline — cloud features are opt-in.
• Request access to, or deletion of, data we hold: hello@forevertrip.app.

Security

Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Shared content is protected by access rules so only you — and people you explicitly invite — can reach it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

ForeverTrip isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. By using the app you understand your information may be processed there.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page when our practices change and revise the “last updated” date above.
